Home Office Design Inspiration

If you are a blogger, a freelancer, or any other stay-at-home worker, you have a designated home office area. Being able to get up every day and get work done from home takes a lot of self motivation. A work space that is unorganized or dull can make it even harder to stay motivated throughout the work day. Since you spend a lot of your time at your desk when working from home, it wouldn’t hurt to give yourself an organized work space. It also wouldn’t hurt to add some color or design to your home office either. After all, you do spend a lot of time in your work area, you might as well make it look exactly how you like it. If you are interested in spicing up your home office workspace, here are some design inspiration and ideas to get you started.

The minimalist home office theme is trending and seen at many home offices today. The minimalist home office space has no clutter and is very organized. Keeping clutter away and organized has been on trend lately. A minimalist home office would stick to the colors white and black, and sometimes a pop of color.

Colorful Walls

Another current home office trend is to have color surrounding your work space. Some people prefer not to have colors, designs, or anything else distracting on their desk. Instead, they like to keep the walls colorful. People have given themselves a pretty view by putting up pretty wallpaper, either plain or with a design.

Window Worker

Instead of having a wall as the backdrop of their home office, some people like to have a window in front of them instead. A beautiful view is a good way to fuel creativity throughout the work day. Having a window as the backdrop of your work space will also let in natural light, which is good to have throughout the work day.

Vision Boards

Vision boards are a good thing to have on a wall in your home office. Every time you decide to look up from your work or take a break, the vision board will be the first thing you see. It will stand as a good reminder of why you are working in the first place. This is a good thing to include in your office if you ever find yourself procrastinating or getting bummed out about your work.

Chalk Board Wall

This is a good workspace idea for the people who always have ideas spilling out of them. Paint the wall behind your desk with a chalkboard paint. That way, you will have a place to write your ideas down at all times. Having a chalkboard as your background is also a good thing for people who love to DIY. A chalkboard wall allows you to be creative and draw whatever you want. It could be a calendar, a to do list, or even a picture you drew. The possibilities are endless.
